Highview farm raises and breeds American Border Collie Association registered Border Collies.

"The Border Collie stands alone in its exceptional ability to work livestock. ABCA defines the breed by this working ability. The main goal of any Border Collie breeder should be to produce sound, useful, working dogs. While Border Collies also excel in many non-herding activities, they should be bred primarily to work livestock."--ABCA web site

Border Collies are wonderful dogs. They are faithful, loyal and sometimes too smart for their and often, your own good! They are high energy dogs that require lots of space and time to run around, but most importantly, they must have a job! That job can be herding animals, the vacuum cleaner or a Frisbee, but having a job is essential to their well being. Please only consider owning this breed with this in mind.

We have shared our lives with Border Collies for over 35 years and can’t imagine the world without at least a couple of them under foot at all times. Most everyone that has ever owned a Border Collies feels the same!

High View Farm is currently home to four wonderful Border Collies--Maggie, Finn, Red Skye, and Katie. Red Skye was born to Maggie and Finn in 2007, and Katie joined our family last year.

The next litter of puppies will not be bred and born until sometime in 2010, when Katie and Red Skye will have puppies of their own. Stay in touch for more Border Collie news.
