Horse Boarding

High View Farm offers full-service horse boarding. A number of horses have taken up permanent residence here on the farm. The high-quality care of our horses is our top priority. Building our farm facility has been an ongoing project for several years starting with the replacement of all fencing, with secure, horse-safe fences and the construction of a regulation, diamond-dust outdoor arena. In-ground, heated watering systems were added in 2009, and in 2010 we completed a USDA approved manure handling system. All farm waste products are recycled into fertilizer or clean, reusable horse bedding.

Mike and Linda have owned High View Farm for 8 years and have spent a lot of effort on the property to make it very horse safe and friendly. Quality, loving care is the priority! Linda has owned horses her entire life and has run several boarding facilities. She participates in equine continuing education classes from Rutgers University to stay up to date on current equine management practices. For more information visit the Rutgers Equine Science Center at www.njaes.rutgers.edu.

The horse barn features large, matted stalls with a hot and cold water wash down stall and tack room. Riding trails go throughout the farm. A number of additional trails are available in several state parks near by. In addition to the riding arena, a round pen is available for training. Turnout areas are lush and green and can be private or semi-private on request.

We provide customized full care board only. The health, safety and happiness of our horses is our greatest concern. All horse and barn areas are quiet, private and completely secure. A ferrier and veterinarian are on call 24 hours a day and needless to say the owners are on site. Due to the nature and the mission of the farm, we can only accept 8 borders (geldings and mares only). Like the rest of the farm --- quality, not quantity, is our goal, and the preservation of a relaxed, animal and people friendly farm is the mission.

Our boarding facilities are currently full, but please contact us if you are interested in being on our waiting list. For boarding information, to discuss your individual needs, or to arrange a tour of the farm and boarding facilities please contact us.

High View Farm Horse News:

Lucky, Linda’s best friend and companion of 27 years had to be put down in the fall of 2010 due to laminitis. He is still very much missed. This spring, Gracey, a three year old Rocky Mountain Pony, joined the family. She had been a boarder on the farm for over a year..... we fell in love with her and persuaded her owner to sell her to us. Thank you Charon! Watch for more adventures with Gracey as she is saddle broken and trained.
